국회 기획재정위원회 더불어민주당 고용진 의원이 관세청으로부터 받은 자료에 따르면 2019년부터 지난해 7월까지 지식재산권을 위반한 시계와 가방, 소위 말하는 명품 브랜드 제품을 모방한 '짝퉁' 제품의 수입 규모는 총 1조7000억원에 달했다.

자연스레 중고거래 플랫폼을 활용한 가짜 명품 사기 판매 행위는 시간이 흐를수록 더욱 기승을 부리고 있으며 피해자 역시 꾸준히 늘고 있다.

검찰에 따르면 A씨는 지난해 3월 광주 북구 한 카페에서 50대 피해자를 만나 가짜 롤렉스 시계를 1500만원에 판매한 혐의로 기소됐다.
